One of the worst intersections in Mandeville, LA has finally been redesigned into a two-way street.
In the first four months of 2013, over 15 car accidents & truck accidents occurred. The police chief said that there weren’t even safe spots for officers to park while doing traffic enforcement. The roadwork has improved traffic flow across Mandeville and has eliminated the dangerous intersection near the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, which connects Metairie, Louisiana a suburb of New Orleans to Mandeville, Louisiana.
The completed work will allow both east and westbound traffic to flow on the Florida extension, creating a new way for drivers from the eastern part of Mandeville to cross heavily-traveled Causeway Boulevard.
