December 8th gave New Orleans, LA it's first taste of snowy weather in a long time. Louisiana rarely sees super cold temps, much less snow.
Over 63 car accidents & truck accidents were reported in St. Tammany parish, which is close to New Orleans. The Louisiana State Police said only minor bodily injuries occurred, some were a result of chain reaction car crashes along the highway. The snow and ice from Friday's low temperatures coated the roads on the interstate with slick ice, creating hazardous driving conditions.
