Bio
A native of Kentucky, Phyllis began her legal career in administrative work with a university grants and contracts office, and then as an assistant in a judicial Friend of the Court office. When she and her husband moved to Louisiana over thirty years ago, she began what became a twenty-five year tenure with two attorneys whose firm grew into a mid-sized firm with 40 employees. While there, she performed a range of duties, from paralegal and administrative to accounting and human resources. Attending classes at night, Phyllis earned her degree from Tulane University in 1991 with a major in Paralegal Studies, and then turned her attention to the handling of all aspects of case work, from client contact through trial. She is happy to be working with the Voorhies Law Firm to provide personal attention to our personal injury clients in their various cases.
