Bio
James is a seasoned litigator having handled hundreds of personal injury, property damage, and insurance claims over his career. As an original member of the Voorhies Law Firm, he helped develop the firm’s various practice areas, client network, and litigation strategies over the past decade. His case work has resulted in many of the firm’s largest settlements and jury verdicts. James believes in providing the highest level of legal service for his clients with clear communication, creative strategies, and putting his clients’ interests above all.
James graduated with honors, Cum Laude, from Tulane University Law School. At Tulane, he was awarded the position of Senior Fellow to serve as an instructor to the first-year students enrolled in Tulane’s Legal Research and Writing course. James was also a Law Journal Senior Board Member and received the highest grade in his class for Civil Litigation Skills and Strategy.
James has lectured before members of the Louisiana Association of Justice on matters concerning litigation experts, motion practice, and deposition strategy. He has been honored as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for consecutive years dating back to 2015. He was also honored by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 Attorney in Louisiana.
James is also an avid baseball player. He pitches and plays second base for the Bayou St. John Blues in the People’s Baseball League in New Orleans. James also enjoys rock climbing at the New Orleans Boulder Lounge, and hiking at many of the U.S. National Parks and abroad.
